janharrisMeet the District Governor Jan Harris   The District Governor visits every club in the District during their time in office to learn about club activities and projects. The eClub is holding our Meet the Governor event at the Wheatstone Inn, Barnwood from 12 noon on 16 November.  Great chance for all those near enough to meet and share lunch together.

duckpondNews from Gloucester City Farm.  St James City farm is a tiny but animal packed plot of land, right in the middle of  Gloucester. It is well visited by local schools and residents and many people have learned about animal care and healthy food production, in addition to having some outdoor fun with various ducks, goats, rabbits and sheep!
The eClub has been helping by fundraising and giving advice on how to improve and extend the duck pond, including tackling some of the drainage and water management problems.
We were thrilled to receive a grant of £580 from the Rotary Foundation, to match the money raised last year through Tim and Janice’s sponsored slim.
With these funds, the City Farm have been able to buy a new, specially designed pond liner with a built in drain and this is now being installed by Farm volunteers.
We were also successful in receiving a free Community Tree pack from the Woodland Trust. We are waiting delivery of this and we hope eClub members will be able to help with a little tree planting before Christmas.  Further details from
