Every Saturday we will be bringing you a quick news update from around the Network which may have passed you by.
Our eClub official handover is on 13 July and being hosted by Debbie Vincent from 5pm in her garden in Chiseldon. The guest speaker is eRotarian Ed Cox who is training and development manager for Disaster Aid. He is a man who has many tales to tell of his exciting travels in some of the most dangerous of settings.
If you haven’t yet confirmed you are coming please let her know now at or sign in at ‘the upcoming events’ on the forum. Debbie also wants some raffle prizes.
The Rotaract Hub which is sponsored by the District 1100 eClub, is a key member of the Rotary family.
This week they launched their new logo pictured here and designed by Alex Luca. Visit their facebook page to learn more about how eRotary enables younger people to enjoy Rotary and give Service to their communities.
In case you missed out on the Lisbon Convention last week you can read Tim’s blow by blow account here. Great images and thoughts from what appears to have been a great convention for all who attended.
News from the Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon, Angus Macpherson, who launched a major consultation about crime with business men and women in June.
Mr Macpherson is urging people, whether they run small, medium or large concerns, to fill in a survey on his website and register for a business crime forum in September.
The survey is designed to help the Commissioner to understand the extent, nature and impact of crime and anti-social behaviour faced by the business community.
The results will be presented at a free half-day business crime forum which Mr Macpherson is staging at the Corn Exchange in Devizes on Friday 6 September.
The deadline for completing the survey is midnight on Sunday 14 July. For details go to www.wiltshire-pcc.gov.uk
If you are involved in the business world of Swindon and Wiltshire please help by completing the survey here.
