Neglected 1

How many un-used, worn out and unloved neck ties are there in your cupboards? Rather than just lying around un-noticed they could be helping to eradicate polio from our World!

Click 4 Action eRotary is leading a team of volunteers working with partners making bags, necklaces, and all kinds of other things. If you are an interested partner organisation our offer is to work 50/50 with you, so that 50% profits of the goods you make will go to a specified charity and the rest to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) End Polio Now.

We are looking for people who love sewing to be part of our sewing team, either individuals or existing groups. We have some design ideas of items to make, from simple to more complicated, but your ideas are also very welcome to widen the range of items on offer. Please email necktiestoendpolio@1100rotaryeclub.org if you are interested or know a group who could help.

Also we a looking for businesses in different areas who are willing to be our collection points. In return for doing this we will promote your business in our publicity.

Made items combined

We welcome all your donations of neck ties. How your donations are collected or transported depends on where you are, please email us your address.

We offer design templates to our partners in this project and practical guidance on particular items, your ideas would also be welcome. We also offer promotion of the tie collection points and help in selling the products.

Where items are sold will also depend on where the sewing team expands to. The aim is to make items over the next year so that they can be sold in the autumn/Christmas craft markets 2014/15.

Spiral Pots - combined

Whether you donate ties or join in with the sewing, together we can help make a huge difference, please email us at necktiestoendpolio@1100rotaryeclub.org. Please help promote this idea with friends, in the community, at work and let us make a real fashion statement about what we can do to recycle neck ties for doing good.

We are interested in seeing more examples of what you are making! The items may be good for Christmas presents! Can you produce a catalogue, or at least a set of pictures?
I think Rotarians would be more willing to donate ties if they could see the results………
